Baskerville Type Specimen

Working with dynamic type grid structure, and one spot color, create a type specimen book of at least 8 dedicated to the Baskerville typeface. I used the type's history to inspire the design of the booklet as well as to sell the Baskerville typeface as the most beautiful possible option available to the market.

Overall I wanted to use a design solution that was creative, mentalistic in style, with a bright color palette. The ideal design solution would showcase the maximum potential that the Baskerville typeface has to offer users.

For the final comp I decided to use a pocket book size layout. Specifically, I used a 4.25 x 5.5 inches portrait page orientation with a 6x9 modular grid structure. Also, I implemented a 1 spot color palette using Pantone DS 263-3 U. I took all of the criticism I received and successfully created a dynamic design solution.
